Dr. Guido Agostinelli

Prior to joining Good Energies, Guido Agostinelli has built nearly 15 years of specific experience in research, technology and development in the field of photovoltaics.

From 1994 to 2001 he worked at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy, in the fields of metrology, numerical simulation and modelling of thin film photovoltaic devices. In 2001 he joined IMEC, the largest independent R&D centre in the field of micro and nano electronics, as Senior Research Scientist. He led the industrial silicon solar cells team and he developed new designs and pilot manufacturing processes for conventional and thin silicon solar cells.

Guido Agostinelli is a known expert in the PV community. He has taken part in several task forces of public bodies such as the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the European Commission. Since 2007, he is member of the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform. Guido received his master degree in physics in 1998, from the University of Milan, and his doctoral degree in engineering in 2002, from the University of Gent. He has Italian citizenship and resides in Switzerland since 2007.
