In the Midda region of Ethiopia, only very few schools are connected to the power system. The sun, however, usually sets around 6 p.m. In order to improve the children's educational opportunities in the evening, it is therefore vitally important to make sure that sufficient light is available. This increases the time children can spend learning to read and write. In the framework of the project, several schools were equipped with light and electrification systems.
